About The Boogiemen Inc.

Norwegian rock`n`roll band, The Boogiemen Inc. started their career in the early nineties, and have since then steadily been making records and playing gigs all around their homeland.

The band started out as a purist blues and rhythm and blues band, but have over the years evolved into a more hard edge rock`n`roll band in the Stones/Faces vein. Playing mainly original material with influences ranging from fifties rockabilly, R&B, country and western, to modern day heavy guitar rock.The band have always relied on a solid blues fundament, and is considered a spectacular live act in their native land.

In july 2012 the band put out the CD/LP ”Rocket Surgery” consisting of twelve brand new The Boogiemen Inc. originals. This is the bands eight record release since 1993.                                                                    

The Boogiemen Inc. have always stayed true to their passion and love for rock`n`roll music, and sticking to their own path rather than jumping on bandwagons and following ever changing musical trends. At the same time the band would like to be perceived as a band with their feet firmly in the present and looking ahead rather than someone who`s tryin to recreate the past.                                                                                 

Still - a Chuck Berry intro works just as good in 2012 as in 1955.

- The name:

American blues legend John Lee Hooker is most commonly nicknamed the ”Detroit Lion,” but also referred to as ”The Boogieman.” The band used to perform many of Hookers songs in the early blues days.The addition of ”Inc.” (incorporated*) was to avoid confusion with an alleged Swedish band named The Boogiemen. Later it have been brought to the bands attention that there are many other Boogiemen bands around the world.
